Last night we went out with Martin, Tracy, Chris and Nic to the Japanese restaurant, Hokkaido in Wakefield – a really fun evening with friends and a novel dining experience with the food all cooked on a hot plate right in front of our eyes. It was a ยฃ45 per head gig including a good amount of drinks so not a super cheap meal, but then a really nice experience to boot.
Don’t think We would return as just a couple as this is definitely a group experience. We all came out having enjoys the food and experience but we all agreed to still feeling a little hungry.
We have (or Vicky has) taken down all of the Christmas decorations and Simon has put them away for another year – just the outside lights to go but these can wait until just after the New Year.
We hope you all have a magical Christmas and an outstanding 2016
Have fun folks!
Today has been Disney on Ice day at the Sheffield Arena and what an incredible show it was – we got ring side seats for the 11am show and really enjoyed it. Mummy had sorted out some Scooby snacks for the kids so they munched on throughout the entire 2.5 hours so did not notice the cold (our seats were actually on top of the ice !! )
We were treated to Toy Story, the Little Mermaid, Cars and Frozen with the cars aspect being particularly memorable with almost full sized cars on the ice at the same time ๐
The effects during Frozen were also highly impressive – so pleased to have been able to experience the show.
On other aspects, the winter has definitely arrived – gloves ar finally required on dog walks to prevent the fingers from slowing down ๐
The wind is bitterly cold at the moment too…
Last night was our evening in Sheffield with Lee, Caroline, Ed and Sharron – we managed to get on the road just afte 5pm, so got sat down at the Coast to Coast restaurant by 6:15 for a nice burger based meal before the show.
The show started at just after 8pm with a warm up act who was a Yorkshireman – pretty funny guy – we had a 25 minute interval before Michael finally came on – he was of course awesome and had us creased with laughter for most of the session. He was on for almost 1.5 hours which sadly disappeared in no time at all.
A great evening out with good friends – need to do more stuff like this ๐
