School is cool

Elliot is really getting into his new school and is now seemingly beginning to really enjoy it πŸ™‚

He is beginning to involve himself in the question time as well as playtime – which is rally cool – we are so proud of our big boy.

Unfortunately he fell over today while playing out, and has a huge egg on his forehead.Β  He seems unfazed by it however – onwards and upwards πŸ™‚

The temperature here seems to be escalating – we have had two days of over 100 degrees and two days of high 90’s.Β  The hot weather clearly stays well into the autumn here – great !!

Back to it – and a photo shoot for Olly

We had a great time in Disneyland last weekend – although at times it did feel as if Elliot was only actually interested in the toy stores around the two Disney parks πŸ™

We did make it in time for the Pixar parade on Saturday, although we experienced something new this time around – the various items that are in the parade squirt the people watching – they didn’t do that in March – perhaps it was just that it was colder back then ??? πŸ™‚Β  Either way, Elly and Olly were non-too-keen on the addition it seems πŸ™‚

We upgraded the flights on the way to LA to 1st class – after all, it was Elliot’s birthday πŸ™‚

Then today, we have FINALLY got around to sorting Olly’s 1st Birthday photographs at a local photography studio.Β  While Olly was not really up for the whole affair, the lady has captured Olly really well.Β  Interesting that Elliot (3 years ago) was reading books and Olly today was reading the iPad !!

Happy 4th Birthday Elliot Jack

We hope you have a wonderfilled day today big guy.

We are heading to Disneyland in California (Anaheim, near LA) to celebrate Elliot’s birthday and hopefully we will be enjoying the Disney Pixar Parade later on today πŸ™‚

Tomorrow will undoubtedly be just Disney, Disney and a little more Disney, before we head home again on Monday afternoon.

Happy Birthday Elliot – we love you, and wish you have simply the best birthday yet.

Daddy is back from a week in Australia and New Zealand

Daddy is home having spent 1 week in New Zealand and Australia on a quick tour.

Kerrie did make the skydive jump in the end – AND got to land on the beach near Santa Cruz πŸ™‚

We have been out to Gilroy Gardens today to enjoy the sunshine and try to keep Daddy in the sun – should help ease jet lag – particularly useful given he is off tonight to New York for the day tomorrow – thankfully he is back at home tomorrow night.

We booked to go to Disneyland next weekend to celbreate Elliot’s 4th birthday πŸ™‚ We got a deal and once we add the car hire, tickets to get into Disney, the 3 day trip will come in at under $1,000 – :-).Β  Elliot doesn’t know yet – perhaps we will tell him about it later in the week

Kerrie can’t jump :-(

We have been to the Watsonville airfield on two occasion now for Kerrie to take an 18,000 feet skydive (landing on the beach) and on both occasions there has been fog at the coast which has prevented her from going.

It has been a great test for her courage and nerves since she is now really determined that she wants to do it,

There is a really cool airshow that will be taking place over the Labor Day weekend holiday at the airfield with all sorts of aircraft from WWII fighter planes to modern day jets, and a huge US airforce load lugging beast – like the one in con air πŸ™‚

With luck, and no fog, Kerrie will get to jump on Monday – her last chance to do this time in California.

Elliot’s first day at school was today, with next week being the first real days at school – i.e. there are about 16 children in his class so he will meet them all on Tuesday next week.

Having selected this school, we are somewhat concerned that we have made a mistake – Vicky needs to work there also one day a eek, and already next Friday she can’t make it – then two weeks later Simon is not able to look after Olly again – hence this may have been a mistake.Β  Time will tell us.

Mummy is back having had her fun weekend away in Vegas πŸ™‚

Olly’s walking skills are strengthening by the day and today mummy has bought him some proper shoes, having had his feet measured etc.Β  Apparently he walks funny in them πŸ™‚

Simon is working this week at a show in San Francisco and so is commuting to and from San Francisco each day.

Thursday night is Kerrie’s big night for the sky dive – hopefully we will get some video and / or photos to share.

Simon is also getting ready for his week trip to Australia and New Zealand that starts on Saturday night.
