Weekend gone already !!!

Weekends just fly by, don’t they ? 🙁

We have bought Elliot a new lower tog duvet today as he has Simon’s body temperature and as a consequence it always too hot during the night.  We also bought him some new pyjamas that are lighter weight to help with the excessive heat he generates at night 🙂

We also bought Pepsi and Max a new plastic dog bed – we put their existing covered duvets into the new bed and now they have two beds downstairs.  Over the last few weeks we have been slowly, yet consistently, migrating them downstairs overnight.  It has taken a month to go from their being upstairs each night, to being downstairs every night.  i.e. 1 night downstairs, two up for a week, then one up, two down for a week, then one up and three down for a week, then one up, four down, then all down.  Pepsi has been fine with the transition from he get-go, but Max, had a couple of weeks of whining from about 4am.  This has stopped now, although strangely the pair of little buggers do seem to “hear” more stuff outside from downstairs.  Prob much better for security in fairness.

Vicky is going to get her car back tomorrow at some point and is really looking forward to it.  We saw the car yesterday at Clare’s – Vicky was tempted for a moment to go home and get the keys and take it home – then wait to see how long it would be before her Dad called to say that he had lost it… 🙂

Oliver is really kicking his mummy’s butt at the minute – he is really zapping her energy in a big way at the minute.  10 weeks to go…..

Chicken Pox almost resolved

The poor little mite has really fought the spots and itchiness over the last week. They have all scabbed over and some have actually disappeared already fortunately.

The cold weather seems to have gone away for the time being – let’s hope it does not come back.  So, the result is that we are able to use the conservatory again – not too cold, and hence not costing a small fortune to use.

Simon worked last Sunday so is really looking forward to two days off this weekend 🙂 Particularly given he was up at 4:40am today to get into London for a 9am meeting

Friday the 13th !!!

Unfortunately, Vicky has noticed that Elliot has finally contracted the Chicken Pox – I guess it probably better that he gets them now than in 3 months when Oliver is still brand new 🙂

Great to be back in the 7. 🙂 Amazing how spoilt we have been with it – probably not a bad thing to not have it for a week – really makes you appreciate it more when it is there.

STOP PRESS – car OK, BMW dealershop computers = BF’ed

It transpires that the Sandal BMW dealership computers are not able to update the E65 7 Series vehicle.  Once BMW gmbh got involved, a code was delivered to the dealer who was then very quickly able to program the car….

What confuses us is that the car has been there before so does this mean that the car has never been programmed successfully by them…..????

At least the whole episode knocked somewhere in the region of £350 off the bill – but then, we have been without the 7 for over a week I suppose 🙁 GREAT to get it back

7 Series for sale, 2 careful owners, one knackered computer…

So we are 1 week in now, and the dealership called Simon today to let him know that they have exhausted all of their thoughts and now have begun consultation with BMW in Germany to see if they can explain why they are unable to reprogram / reset the computers in the car.

We seem to continue to chase “tomorrow” – let’s see what happens “tomorrow”
