Our faithful friend has sadly given up his fight tonight and has head onward to meet up with his brown pal Max. His last few weeks have been hard for him as he has simply struggled to get up and move about and has really only been outside when we have demanded he do so.
His quality of life had deteriorated to the point that he was struggling with pretty much everything except sleep sadly with the constant need to pant as his lungs fought to get the oxygen around his body adequately. The body that simply no longer wished to work for him 🙁
A truly sad day that we will not be forgetting anytime soon, although the memories of our two hounds will undoubtedly live with us forever.
This day has come around VERY quickly indeed – suspect more so for Tim and Heather of course but it really doesn’t seem that long ago that we first met Heather here at ForkHall for the first time a few years ago. Those 3 or so years have passed by in no time at all.
While our little ginger is still not well – still requiring drugs to tame his raging temperature every couple of hours – we are going to brave taking him up to Ripon as apparently he has a dance to participate in 🙂
We are looking forward to celebrating with everybody later today – see you all soon.
