Disney on Ice

Today has been Disney on Ice day at the Sheffield Arena and what an incredible show it was – we got ring side seats for the 11am show and really enjoyed it. Mummy had sorted out some Scooby snacks for the kids so they munched on throughout the entire 2.5 hours so did not notice the cold (our seats were actually on top of the ice !! )

We were treated to Toy Story, the Little Mermaid, Cars and Frozen with the cars aspect being particularly memorable with almost full sized cars on the ice at the same time πŸ™‚

The effects during Frozen were also highly impressive – so pleased to have been able to experience the show.

On other aspects, the winter has definitely arrived – gloves ar finally required on dog walks to prevent the fingers from slowing down πŸ™

The wind is bitterly cold at the moment too…

Pup training

So we are now 18 weeks old or so and are still just not quite there with our littlest member of the household.

He KNOWS that he goes for numbers 2 and 3 in our back garden OR in anybody’s house….. πŸ™

We can take him for an hour long walk through parks and trees and he will save up any of the aforementioned numbers until we get home and then he will dash into the garden to deliver his goods. However, if the back door is not already open or if we head into somebody else’s house, then the numbers are deposited inside, preferably on carpet (obviously that is way more comfortable for his little paws than solid flooring… πŸ™

We think that he does TRY to let us know but it is the very same jumping about that he does when inside the house anyway – hence it is really rather difficult to distinguish πŸ™

We are definitely worried about our holiday to Lapland as Hugo is going to Granny Cuckoo’s and if he not able to deliver his numbers in her garden by then, well we have a problem. It would also be nice if he is no longer dropping them off indoors as well…

As they say, time will tell – wish us luck πŸ™‚

Front of the line

Picture this:

Sunday afternoon, raining heavily outside, TV on in the lounge and mummy has been working on the Sunday lunch for a little over an hour. We are approximately 5 minutes from delivery time.

Hugo had got himself in position number one in the kitchen eagerly awaiting Sunday lunch – that’s right folks, he cannot tell us when he wants to go outside to pee, but can determine the ping of the oven to signify dinner time with incredible accuracy. If he could have reached the surfaces in the kitchen, we are sure that he would have been stuck in helping out…

He then proceeded to pick out the pieces of chicken from his usual dried biscuits with a speed only beate by the pace of rain falling in Ossett tonight.

Tomorrow morning will return him to disappointment – disappointment of not getting yummy chicken in his breakfast πŸ™

It has now been 7 weeks since Hugo joined us and we sadly still have wet patches in the house that we did not have 8 weeks ago – in fact the little bigger actually peed on daddy last night as he was having a cuddles he couch… πŸ™ however, we would not be without him and he IS getting better – just learn to tell us when you need to go put PLEASE.
