The boys have had a great weekend – mummy and daddy had a good one too :-)

Grannies brought the boys back at 4pm today – they have had a fun packed weekend including: bus trip to Halifax, Great Grandma’s, Charlie Fast Tracks, Sunday lunch and a a couple of sleep overs in between πŸ™‚

Mummy and daddy went out for a bike ride with Uncle Tim on Saturday, and then out for dinner to the Kaye Arms on Saturday night (without Uncle Tim although he did kindly drop us off s that we could fill up on champagne cocktails and red wine πŸ™‚

Then, today we have managed to get out to Costco and we have FINALLY got a new kettle – yay. No more 15 minutes to boil the water for Tea πŸ™‚

We have also done our first bit of Christmas shopping – that right CHRISTMAS shopping and it is September….. πŸ™

Weekend at Grannies :-)

Granny Cuckoo is coming round after work tonight and taking Elliot and Oliver for a weekend at her house. As usual they are full of it, and just this afternoon Oliver was talking about going to Charlie Fast Tracks – let’s hope they are going there this weekend, or there’ll be trouble πŸ™‚

Hopefully Olly will behave himself as he has been struggling this last couple of weeks with his temper and his attitude in general.

In other news, the Costa Coffee T-Discs arrived yesterday for the new tassimo machine and WOW – they are GOOOOOODDDDDD :-). just need to ensure that we don’t get too much into caffeine and have too many πŸ™‚

With the kids being out this weekend, we are hoping to get out on the bikes for a nice ride out – we both feel like we need the exercise and we don’t often get the chance to go out on the bikes at the moment and certainly not together πŸ™

Wow – it’s cold…

Simon is en-route to London today and has figured out it is COLD !!!

The weather has definitely turned for the autumn it seems. the central heating is now on full force in Fork Hall, and standing on the station platform, the icy breeze is making light work of the rain coat Simon is wearing πŸ™

The rain yesterday was pretty torrential and has once again fully tested all of the drainpipes and gutters in the streets of the Yorkshire (and further afield) properly. Apparently one months rainfall in just 24 hours. Hopefully there will not be too much more over the coming days.

Hoping for sunshine in the big smoke πŸ™‚

Poor Olly….

….. is being exceptionally painful at the moment. It seems like the last couple of weeks he has simply ignore every single one of our requests and appears unwilling to behave himself at all.

We are unsure as to whether he is just plain starving when he gets back from school and that it the main cause of the issues, or perhaps if he is just revolting due to not wanting to be at school.

The poor little monkey also seems to be suffering from explosive diahorrea during the week as well :-(. We have tried excluding diary products from his diet to no avail, so are left wounding if he is suffering some form of anxiety about being at school – perhaps this is also causing the behavioural issues also….

Elliot’s fab birthday party at PartyDreamz in Huddersfield

Yesterday afternoon, Elliot had his birthday party at PartyDreamz in Huddersfield. It was a two hour gig from 13:30 for 15 of his friends and family. It was a Heroes and Villains party and while he was lined up all week to go as Darth Vader, he elected at the 11th hour to go as Superman instead.

Right from the off, Morris had Elliot as the centre of attention while still having ALL the children directly involved – it worked really well for him, and particularly since there were only 16 children, it did not overpower Elliot at all – mega winner πŸ™‚

They played all sorts of party games, made their own little cakes, had a party lunch and used the chocolate fountain with fruit and marshmallows πŸ™‚

The great news is that all the children appeared to have a great time and all went home with big smiles can their faces and lots of cool stuff in their goodies bags.

While PartyDreamz was a distance from most people’s houses, I think it was really worth the venture out as Morris is one of the best (if not, THE best) children’s entertainer that we have ever seen πŸ™‚
