Can we go swimming again mummy? pllleeeeeaaaaassssee?

This morning we took Elliot swimming again, and he did two lengths !!! He is really energetic about going swimming – in fact the swimming seems to have taken precedence over the jumping in from the edge today πŸ™‚

He is asleep in the car presently – we guess he will stay there asleep for a couple of hours – he really got a proper workout – we swam for 40 minutes and he really didn’t stop – his little legs going ten to the dozen πŸ™‚

We are wondering how soon it will be before he can actually swim without the armbands – given that this is only his forth trip in 3 weeks, and he is already capable of being on his own for two lengths + ….. We did get some video footage although it looks a bit dark – we will see if we can enhance it to be more clear

A little swimmer

Today, Elliot has swum his first width of Grandma’s swimming pool πŸ™‚ When Simon got home, all Elliot was interested in telling him was his swimming in the pool πŸ™‚Β  He has only really had three 30 minute swimming session in the last 2 weeks and already he is well balanced in the pool (with his arm bands of course) and can turn himself around, oh yes, and swim from one side of the pool to the other of course.

I suspect he is going to want to spend more time in Grandma’s pool now that he has found this exciting new pastime πŸ™‚

Other news – Oliver is not sitting pretty it seems – looks like he is setup across mummies tummy rather than head down, so the midwife is suggesting that he may need to come out early and under the assistance of a knife or two πŸ™ Will know more next week – mummy has to head back for another checkup.

Finished :-)

Up, early doors, and got the entire play centre finished by lunchtime – including decking inside the towers at floor level to ensure that muddy feet do not appearΒ  when using the play area.

Elliot has been outside from just after 10am until almost 3pm – to say he loves it is a slight understatement.Β  Will up load photos later tonight if time permits – Done πŸ™‚

We have moved the cars and other stuff (outdoor toys) from the garage and placed them in the shed around in the area, and eventually Simon will get around to moving the toys that are in the other shed (around the other side of the house) into this place also – keeping everything together.Β  Guess that will probably happen when the weather improves and the patio furniture etc comes out to play πŸ™‚

It has definitely made a part of the garden whose only use was to get to another part of the garden, into a very usable kids play area.Β  Just need some seats for the adults etc. Suspect we may “need” to sit out with Elliot since he has chosen on a couple of occasions to slide down head first when our backs have been turned – little monkey.
