Rain, rain, go away, come back another day

The rain just seems to keep falling – when will we see the summer time ??

Typical British – whining about the weather 🙂

Oliver is teething we think – he has started to chew on his fist and has a wonderful state of diahorrea 🙁  He is definitely going through a growth spurt as he is loosing his barrel belly and is definitely continuing to put weight on.  On Tuesday he had put 2lbs on (since the last weighing in 2 weeks ago) (13lbs 9oz (6.14 kilos) total) and is on the way back to the growth chart that he was on at birth (he was on the 75th centile, and is now back up to the 50th).  So his 2 to 3 weeks of illness during the pyloric stenosis time seems to be well and truly behind him 🙂

There is confirmed Swine Flu at the nursery apparently so Elliot did not go in today.

Simon’s heart given the all clear :-)

Simon has been to the docs on a couple of occasions recently following some intermittent chest pains that started in anger during the vacation to the Lakes a few weeks back.  Last week he had some blood taken for testing and also an ECG.  Never had one of those before 🙂

Anyway, the great news is that with the exception of high(ish) cholesterol, we are in the clear – all looks totally fine.  OK, so the 4.8 for cholesterol isn’t great, and means yet another alteration to Simon’s diet to resolve :-(.  That and an increase it fitness training, and we should be A OK 🙂

Oliver laughed at Simon today…

… and sure, for  the wisecrackers out there, it won’t be the last time either.  We had both boys in their baths, and Elliot was splashing so daddy thought it a smart idea to reprimand Elliot and throw water over him – Oliver thought it was hilarious – it was a real full belly laugh type.

It has rained nearly all day today 🙁

A day out at Cannon Hall

Olly’s temperature was as suspected – a 24hour thing – he woke up on Friday morning back to normal 🙂  In fact he is now going 3 to 4 hours between feeds so Vicky is more able to do things during the days.

We went to Cannon Hall this morning to have a picnic and to feed the animals etc.  The sun came out but not until the early afternoon – probably a good thing because when it did come out it was definitely skin burning temperatures 🙂

Elliot, Tyler, Becca and Alicia fed the various animals they have available (Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Pigs (and some brand new less than 12 hours old piglets), Goats, Llamas.  At one point one of the goats stole the bag of food right out of Elliot’s hands – Elly was not hugely impressed in fairness 🙂

Photos will come soon – just got to transfer them over and sort them…
