Good Friday – already ! – oh, and Simon’s back from US trip #2

The great news was that Elliot didn’t ask about his presents when Simon got home this morning πŸ™‚ Hopefully, this is the last US trip for a few months.

Vicky saw the midwife midweek this week, and it seems that little Oliver is getting the idea – he now appears to have his head in the right place and his body just needs to follow – although apparently this will be very painful for Vicky while he tries πŸ™ The midwife has suggested that Oliver could arrive at anytime now, so Vicky has got their hospital bag packed ready to go.

We have been out today to an indoor play centre in Sheffield – Monkey Bizness is the name of the place.Β  It was big and Elliot loved it – so much so that he asked (after about 1 hour 15 mins) to go to Oliver’s house as he was tired πŸ™‚Β Β  Vicky and Simon agreed that while it was nearer and a little bigger than the centre we went to over New Year with Jon, Vickii and Mia, the place in Doncaster is still slightly better πŸ™‚

Simon is looking forward to some sleep tonight – he has flown over the Atlantic 4 times in just over 10 days – tiredness is definitely kicking in πŸ™

Daddy’s home from a trip to the US – Elliot’s first and only question – “can I have my presents now?”

The little monkey was only interested in any presents that Daddy brought home from San Francisco πŸ™Β  Very interesting that he remembered that there had been a promise of a potential present supply when daddy came home. Guess it will be even more interesting if he asks for his present(s) after daddy comes home from New York next Friday….. Daddy will have started something dangerous if he does ask….

Simon is feeling tired today – he flew back from San Francisco overnight and only got about 3 to four hours sleep.Β  He heads out to New York on Monday for 4 days.Β  That should then be it for a little while.

Handy, given that Oliver has turned transverse in Mummy’s tummy – means that he will have to come out by knife if he doesn’t get himself sorted out and into the right position soon. Might be having a designer birthday yet πŸ™‚

Can we go swimming again mummy? pllleeeeeaaaaassssee?

This morning we took Elliot swimming again, and he did two lengths !!! He is really energetic about going swimming – in fact the swimming seems to have taken precedence over the jumping in from the edge today πŸ™‚

He is asleep in the car presently – we guess he will stay there asleep for a couple of hours – he really got a proper workout – we swam for 40 minutes and he really didn’t stop – his little legs going ten to the dozen πŸ™‚

We are wondering how soon it will be before he can actually swim without the armbands – given that this is only his forth trip in 3 weeks, and he is already capable of being on his own for two lengths + ….. We did get some video footage although it looks a bit dark – we will see if we can enhance it to be more clear

A little swimmer

Today, Elliot has swum his first width of Grandma’s swimming pool πŸ™‚ When Simon got home, all Elliot was interested in telling him was his swimming in the pool πŸ™‚Β  He has only really had three 30 minute swimming session in the last 2 weeks and already he is well balanced in the pool (with his arm bands of course) and can turn himself around, oh yes, and swim from one side of the pool to the other of course.

I suspect he is going to want to spend more time in Grandma’s pool now that he has found this exciting new pastime πŸ™‚

Other news – Oliver is not sitting pretty it seems – looks like he is setup across mummies tummy rather than head down, so the midwife is suggesting that he may need to come out early and under the assistance of a knife or two πŸ™ Will know more next week – mummy has to head back for another checkup.
