Bruce in Garage but in Leeds not Guiseley

Landrover Assist came out to see Brice first thing this morning and concluded that the driver door locking mechanism is faulty and will most likely need replacing. So we elected to take the car to the Farnell dealership in Leeds (rather than driving all the way over to Guiseley AGAIN) to be fixed. While it is meant to be the same group company, it does not have the me feel about it from our first impression but at least it is only 10 or 12 miles away rather than being nearly 30 away.

They have called Vicky this evening and have confirmed that the door lock on the driver door is indeed faulty and have ordered a replacement. They have also ordered new wheel arches as apparently they were also failing and needed replacing. All good news for us as it costs us nothing to have the car enhanced 🙂

Anyway, we should have the car back by the weekend and then we will just have to wait and see for how long we are good before it needs to go in again. Sadly it does appear to have come to the feeling that it is a bit of a lemon – hopefully we will get a good few months of painless ownership to erode the ill feeling that we have of the car at present.

Bruce broken AGAIN

Unbelievably the car now will not lock. It does seem to have been a catalogue of issues over the last couple of months where that motor is concerned.

Land rover Assist are coming out to see him again tomorrow – we just hope that repairs can be conducted at the house – else we have another 60 mike round trip to take the car back to the dealer AGAIN 🙁

Pepsi update…

Simon took Pepsi to see his friends at Palmer and Duncan this morning at 8:20am and needed Uncle Tim to help move him onto the back of the car 🙁 He was still not up for eating (less good news) and did not want to move at all.

Once we got him into the vets he seemed to perk up a bit 🙂 After a full examination the vet suggested that he was not in any worse state that he has been previously and that he must have just twisted awkwardly (or similar) and that he was probably in ‘lock down mode’ where he was not allowing himself to move such that he could repair quicker.

Anyway, she gave him a shot to help with the pain and Simon brought him home.  He almost immediately ate his breakfast 🙂 and then took himself slowly outside to do his business.

He has stayed pretty motionless for the rest of the time today and has whimpered out on a couple of occasions so hopefully he is on the right recovery road.

If pain is clearly persisting, then he can go back for one more injection tomorrow, although the fact that he is more alert again and eating is all nicely positive signs 🙂

Poorly Pepsi :-(

He has thrown a joint / disc / something again today while we were out. Sadly he has ha zero desire to move since we got in at 16:30 including having no desire to eat 🙁

Daddy took him outside to wee etc but he would not get off his bed. His cries out are whenever he tries to move and we are still unsure whether it front legs or back – suspect it is same place in his back he did the first time – ie just behind his shoulders and hence not front or back per se.

So, a trip to the vet is looking highly likely in the morning 🙁
