Just gone down so we have about a 45 minute wait until we see him again sans tonsils…

Big day is here
The day has arrived and we are sat in Barnsley waiting to go in…
We are third on the list so should be in pretty quickly (11am apparently) – seems that today is Tonsils day an there are four little ones readying themselves.
All the prep work has now completed and we are simply waiting for the GO.
The night before the big event….
…. so Olly’s tonsils are coming out in the morning – I think we are as ready as we ever will be π
Hopefully we will be of the first on the list and hence he will be of the first to be able to head home with us…
We need to be at the hospital for 8am, with the operation being sometime before lunch, with an 8 hour rest period after he comes around, during which he must eat etc etc before they will let us take him home again. Elly is booked in to Grandma’s so he is all set.
Olly has Tilly (his new cat that is coming to keep him company – Auntie Clare brought her round for him yesterday) and we will be taking a few books and toys for him to play with in the long afternoon.
Mummy and Daddy are armed with books and a picnic to while the hours away….
See you all on the other side….
New smart heating controls in ForkHall
Daddy has just finished installing the new Owl Intuition Internet controls for the ForkHall central heating.
Basically it is a super smart system that takes controls from the Internet, which means iPhone control to you and I :-). We can now tell our central heating to get the house warmer from our mobile phones from anywhere in the world.
Obviously Mummy is 100% unimpressed with the spend on this system and will forever be reminding daddy of the waste of cash that this all was π
It also gives us an online running commentary of electricity usage and hence cost, all from the iPhone again π
Looking forward to getting more visibility of our electricity usage to try to reduce wherever possible π
Olly managed more than 10 hops today in Martial Arts….
Sir made a big fuss of Olly and his hopping today, and made him demo sage to the rest of the class how to hop across the room before jumping for a high 10. Before today, he has managed just four concurrent hops at any one time – today he made 13 or 14 and almost made it all the way across the room :-). We were all made up – mahoosive ice achievement for the little guy π
Elliot was also on good form with exceptionally high front kicks – in fact two of e instructors were joking about ‘go go gadget legs’ π Elliot didn’t get what it meant, but mummy and daddy certainly did :-). Elliot can front kick to the height of his own head already…. Daddy is slightly worried that soon Elliot will be able to kick up to daddy’s head level…..
Earlier in the day we took a ride over to Widnes with Grandma and Grandad to see a new caravan that they have been researching – a new manufacturer called Eterniti with their unique selling point in the UK of the slide out side – www.eterniti-caravans.com. Unique and impressive stuff they have going on over there in Widnes.
