Oliver lost his first tooth

It came out yesterday evening at Tyler’s 9th birthday party at Gravity in Xscape πŸ™‚

It has been loose for around a week or so but finally it has fallen πŸ™‚

The tooth fairy prompted collected it and delivered a chocolate coin an Β£2 for the enamel.

Daddy scratched / crashed mummy’s car again :-(

Yesterday, daddy managed to drive Bruce into a stationary bollard at the White Rose Shopping centre πŸ™ He was faffing around on his phone (trilingual to secure Disney Infinity 2.0 Baymax for Olly apparently) and turne too sharply to the left as he drove out. A nice transfer of the red paint onto Bruce was the outcome with (fortunately for daddy) no actual damage, although there was paint in the nearside rear door, wheel arch, rear bumper AND wheel / tyre….

He was inspecting the handiwork while waiting for mummy to come out of the Marks and Spencer door when an elderly gent wandered over and said “you don’t want to scratch such a lovely car” to which daddy said “sadly it is a little law, I have caught the car on one of th bollards, but that’s not the worst of it, it’s not my car… It’s the wife’s and she is just about to come out of that door over there.”. The chap just said “oh, well if you let me move may car, you can pop yours in an I can watch to see what happens…..” Hilarious πŸ™‚

At least there was no physical damage as the paint polished off easily when we got home but mummy did make the point that only daddy has wet crashed the car and that she has only ever taken great care of it….

Only took 3 months but the garbage disposal unit is FIXED

Daddy has finally got around to fixing the garbage disposal unit under the sink in the kitchen. The pneumatic switch broke three months ago and upon fitting a new switch, the unit did not work πŸ™

Daddy has almost bought a new unit but decided to just try one last time to fix it before ordering the new unit. Good job he did as it just needed “rewinding” to remove whatever had also stopped the machine from spinning as well as resetting. Once these few small tasks were accomplished the machine kicked into life and we are now able to grind food in the sink once again πŸ™‚

Of course we are also Β£300 better off as it only cost Β£5 for the new switch (in fairness it took 7 weeks for the switch to arrive from Hong Kong) and then 5 weeks to get around to trying to fix it…. πŸ™‚
