Fibre to the Premises….

We have just this morning been able to place an order for upgraded internet connectivity here at home πŸ™‚

OpenReach have been working in Floxkton for the last few months to enable the whole village to be able to take advantage of Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) which will effectively enable the households to have up to 1gb/s download speeds.

With BT, we have been able to order Fibre 250 which will give us up to 330mb down and 50mb up – this will be a HUGE difference to our current setup we hope πŸ™‚

It will be installed on Jan 3rd hopefully and on the 4th, we should be taking advantage of the new power πŸ™‚

The second best but is that it is actually cheaper each month than our current setup with BT 👌

Yesterday Oliver was hung like a horse…..

We (Mum and Dad) we’re understandably stunned and immediately asked him to repeat what he said….

He did so the next question was, what do you mean, stifling our laughter as we did.

Oliver explained that he was so hungry that he could eat a horse – hence he was hung like a horse…..

😂

He is now fully aware of what hung like a horse really means – embarrassed doesn’t quite cut how he was for the next few minutes….

A funny moment for us, that is for sure.

The Lurgy Visits….

This last week has been no fun in the household – poor Elliot started with headaches, fever and overall body aches last weekend – he still has a cough (came last) but has otherwise cleared it away it seems.

Simon picked it up next and started with it on Thursday and is just in the back end of it now.

Vicky collected it sadly over the weekend and is now nursing a rather uncomfortable cold that is only just beginning.

Olly is hoping for a pass on this one – it does seem to be gaining in power as it mutates onwards πŸ™

Great result today….

A day to remember….

Simon got an out of the blue call from a number from the North East this morning – turns out it was a call from the company that we bought a service plan from for the Range Rover Sport and that a service was likely now due. Simon advised the lady that we have in fact sold the car and as a result we weren’t likely to be making use of the MoT cover or the next service. She very kindly did two things:

1. Notes on their system that the car was sold and this would not be using the service plan from this point forward

2. Gave Simon a number to call to claim back the remainder of the service plan

Wait, what???

In curiosity, Simon called the number and explained what had happened – the chap who took the call asked for name and address and registration number before stating that he had now closed the account and would post out a cheque for Β£560 !!!!

Simon nearly fell off the seat he was sat on, said thank you and hung up – before bursting into laughter.

At no point would we have ever considered we would be able to claim back some of the unused service plan.

Now, we accept that we have not yet received that cheque but WOW πŸ™‚ sometimes good things really do happen – keep believing 👍
