Fantastic afternoon at Sundown Adventureland

We decided to head out to the Sundown Adventureland yesterday morning, so we got the boys some fast food from their favourite golden arches outlet and set off. They ate in the car to maximise time 🙂

We arrived at around 13:30 so had about 4 hours at our disposal.

The weather was just right for the trip as it was lovely and warm with no rain – that’s right, we managed to avoid the rain for a day!!!!

The boys had a fantastic time playing in the various huge sandpits and enjoying the rides that they had. The only disappointment on the day was that the new part of the park (Angry Birds) was not yet complete although we did not know of its existence at all until we arrived. a great excuse to go back later in the year maybe 🙂

The indoor play centre that they were building on our last trip there was complete so the boys played for 30 minutes in there – a nice jungle and monkey theme makes for a fun setup, and the mega slides were a real hit for the boys.

Surprisingly the river tub ride was a real hit – surprising because there are multiple places where we all got squirted with water – they both loved it – Olly wanted a second go although by the time we got round for a second go, they were closing for the day 🙁

We are planning more such trips out with the boys over the summer and we must remember to post a postcard to school each time – we forgot on our first outing 🙁

Next stop…. ThomasLand at the Drayton manor Park on Tuesday next week – have actually saved over 50UKP by booking one week in advance online….

P.T Day 8…

As stated earlier we have had one accident today already, and while he is definitely able to go multiple hours without needing to use the toilet, bringing a games console into the mix is just dangerous.  It seems that his memory chips are all removed and he just forgets that he will probably need to go to the toilet at some point.  The main issue that we see at this point is that he genuinely does not seem overly bothered when he does wee in his pants.

Maybe this will change as and when he does it out and about.

Thinking of heading to Thomasland tomorrow as a special treat for the boys – Oliver particularly wants to go.  Hopefully the weather will be up to it…

Tina in for surgery … gulp!

Simon has just dropped Tina off with Grant at GHL bodyworks in Ossett – she has begun to shed her lacquer on the rear bumper behind the passenger wheel, and hence is beginning to look a little unloved :-(.  Grant is going to take the bumper off and re-spray it to get it looking like new again.  She will be back later this week or early next with a nicely polished derriere 🙂

P.T. Day 7…

So, the first week is now done and we have progresses pretty well.  We did not have any accidents yesterday, signaling three days on the run with no accidents.  We are still unsure as to what would occur should we not continue to ask him if he needs a lavatory visit…

We did have a number 2 incident this morning although that is not a massive issue at this time, it is definitely something that Olly understands as not being quite right.

At this time he certainly seems to be developing an ability to store his pee for longer than 10 minutes – something he certainly could not do this time last week.

Progress is good 🙂
