Ready for fun in the snow this weekend…

The meteorogical office have been telling us via various newsreaders for the last 10 days that there is horrific snow coming and each day it has not arrived.  Each day the forecast is that the snow is coming tomorrow – that sort of thing 🙂

Well, we did get a little snow yesterday afternoon and it has pretty much all hung around over night and stayed all day today.  The temperature has not got above 0 Celcius for about 4 days at present and the kids (read Elliot) have complained about being cold each time we have walked from the car to school or from school to the car.  Apparently tonight is THE night and we are deep in anticipation of the white stuff dropping on us tonight.  We have certainly experienced a bit of dry snow blown around us tonight during school collection but it has now stopped 🙁

So, it remains to be seen – will we wake to more snow in the morning?

Poor Olly is poorly again today :-(

No school for Olly as he joined us at 4am this morning with a raging temperature again 🙁  Rather than send him to school with the knowledge of his temperature returning just before lunchtime, we decided he should stay home.  Of course with the Calpol in his system, he appears right as rain…

When oh when will the poor little fella rid himself of these temperature issues?

Nintendo 3DS mad

The boys have found a need to fight over the Nintendo 3DS XL that Father Christmas brought for Elliot this year, with Mario Kart 7 being the game of choice.

Oliver decided that he wanted a 3DS but was not prepared to wait until his birthday so he has dipped into his Christmas money and some of his bank cash (he didn’t really understand this bit but seemed to not car too much so long as the device was on its way).

eBay to the rescue – a great deal sourced and a Hello Kitty case (what else?) to boot 🙂

We also learned that they can race against each other with Mario Kart and only need ONE copy of the game for this to happen – RESULT.
