Day 15 – end of play photos…

The kitchen is FINISHED – YAY!!!

We just have the decorating to do now, and then we are done.  Vicky moved pretty much all of the kitchen stuff back in yesterday and we finally switched the fridge on this morning (Saturday) having let it sit for almost 24 hours to ensure that no problems (relating to it’s shipping) will appear with it.

The ground floor bathroom cabinet has not arrived and in fact has been lost during delivery, so a new one has been ordered and should appear here on Wednesday next week.

Aspergers – over diagnosed? May not be a syndrome for much longer…

This is an interesting article that I stumbled over this morning – take a look at the link below – suggests that Aspergers is over diagnosed and as a result (in order to pull it all back in) may be removed completely and included within the Autism spectrum once and for all… Interesting…

Olly’s blood tests…

Yesterday we returned to the doctor surgery to see the nurse with Olly.  They wanted to see if she was going to be comfortable taking blood from him for testing.  If not, then we would need to go to Pinderfields for the task to be completed.  After a brief consultation is transpired that we were good to go and that we should book a 20 minute slot to give her time to do the deed.  Out we went to reception to arrange a new appointment to do it – yes, it was not going to be done there and then 🙁  The receptionist kindly offered a suitable appointment in …. wait for it…. 2 and a half weeks…. 🙁 WHAT? But he the doctor needs the blood testing now given that Olly is experiencing the issues now – who knows what state he will be in in 2 and a half weeks, but we can almost guarantee that there will be no fever at that time….

After a little bartering, we got back in at 2pm the same day – result 🙂  So armed with the numbing gel that we needed to apply 30 minutes prior to the appointment, we set out to rearrange our appointment that was already set at 2pm with the solicitor.  The wills etc would have to wait.

We returned at 2pm and the nurse managed to get a reasonable amount of blood although   she did state that he would probably end up with a nasty little bruise on this arm.  She hoped that there was enough blood collected to be able to perform all of the tests.  We have a telephone appointment set for next Thursday to hear the results from the blood tests, so let’s hope that something becomes clear that will help us move forwards with the fever issues.

We een managed to get to the solicitor before she left for the day, so we have finally got our wills sorted out.

Day 14 – end of play photos…

The kitchen really is almost done – Corey got the tiling completed AND the grouting done today – so just in need of a proper clean tomorrow and then the replacement fridge/freezer installed.  Then, all that is left is the doors all need aligning.  Hopefully this will all happen tomorrow morning leaving us time to begin the painting of the room and then YAY, we can move our gear back in…

The utility room has now been tiled and hopefully will be grouted tomorrow.  The, as the kitchen, the doors need aligning and then the room decorating… 🙂

The ground floor bathroom is still needing the cabinet, but it is still out there to be delivered – somewhere between France and Warrington apparently…. 🙁

Day 13 – end of play photo…

We only have one photo to share with you today – the activity really has been just the tiling. Corey has cracked on and got all of the kitchen tiled – just needs grout in a day or so.  He just began setting the utility room up with the tiles but there is nothing really to distingush it from yesterday – come back tomorrow for more on the utility 🙂
