Refund

Only 7 or 8 weeks after starting a dispute with Land Rover regarding the full extended leather option pack on the new Velar (incorrect stitching on the dashboard), we finally have confirmation from Land Rover that they will provide a full refund on the option that we should claim from the dealership.

Clearly this is the right and only cause of action based on the fact that we bought from their collateral that showed a different dashboard from the one that was ultimately delivered to us.

We are thankful for the result but very disappointed for the way in which it has been handled.

Ronnie’s home

Two days after leave us for repairs, Ronnie is back all cleaned up. Rather incredibly somebody has managed to scratch part of the internals of the car….Thankfully V noticed it right away so a new part has been ordered…

The car needs to go back in the next week or so anyway, as it needs a software update to hopefully fix the phone system as it simply doesn’t work a large percentage of the time. Also, the rear panel above the lights needs replacing as the original is all cracked..

The hire car that we were given was a 30k mile Range Rover Sport HSE that was frankly in a shocking state – the driver seat looked like it had seen 130k, the interior was simply dirty and the exterior only had one panel that wasn’t scratched or dented. It was approximately 6months newer than Simon’s car and a great example of a car that you would never buy.

Let’s hope that we don’t need to get involved in this accident any longer and that the pain of it just goes away.

We are still awaiting information from Land Rover with regards to the miss-sold full extended leather option that we bought on the car. The stitching on the dashboard does not look anything like the sales material (and differs from all of the other leather in the car) and all we are getting thus far is “thanks for pointing out the error in the configurator” and “please consult the small print on the configurator as you will see that we will not be held liable for any information held within it”. Basically, we can change anything we like and that is tough…

Broadband rising…..

So Simon ran another check against BT OpenReach to find are finally able to buy Fibre broadband here at home – so we have an email advising us that we can expect a minimum of 32Mb connection or they will release us from the contract and that we should expect nearer to 35mb – this will be awesome as we are only getting 14mb at the very best right now and the other key issue is only 1mb down – this should raise to between 6 and 9 accordingly.

D day is April 11 so hopefully we will be celebrating g shortly thereafter.

Check out the new house sign….

What do you think?

This is just awesome and at just over a foot from left to right is unmissable in the lane 🙂

It is a hand painted cast that Grandma and Grandad bought for us for Christmas.

We have relocated the pheasant to the back gates rather than bin it.
