Sadly, mummy has clearly contracted the virus that Oliver has been fighting through for the last week and it has knocked her cleanly off her feet 🙁
RiveArse Rusty is how the household is beginning to be known… :-s

It has finally happened and he has a wobbly tooth 🙂
He mentioned it last night and then again tonight – it is still a long way from coming out and I suspect it will be a significant drama when it does come out 🙁
He actually claims he has one on the top and one in the bottom that are loose – Daddy was unable to confirm this however – think there is only one… Time will tell of course…
Oliver had another pretty poor night last night, although things changed slightly in that he was sick a few times – less good was the fact that he did it on his favourite green blanket 🙁
Anyway, today he does seem brighter and has not needed as much ibuprofen to keep the raging temperature under control, which is great news.
Last night Pepsi cried out in pain at around 8pm, but then settled again pretty quickly so while we were immediately thinking that we would be visiting Palmer and Duncan today (VET), we then believed that maybe not and that he has perhaps just twisted awkwardly as he lay down or something. Anyway, we didn’t hear a peep out of him overnight (also fueling the second thought) but then were aware that he was less than keen to actually move about the house this morning. He wouldn’t go outside first thing although did force himself to head over to the utility for breakfast – well he is a labrador and there is not much that will get between a lab and food 🙂
We think he just needs some rest as he can walk although limping a little and on this occasion it appears to be his front right leg that is the source of whatever pain he has 🙁
So, as you might imagine, it is all fun in the Rust household at the moment…
Following a v poor night sleep and almost 41 Celsius for far too long, Olly has continued to have a less than average day. He has not let Daddy out of his sight all day, requiring cuddles for most of the time. His temperature is just under control although we are sadly looking down the barrels of another poor night tonight. As usual BOTH Calpol and Ibruprofen seem to be required in maximum allowed doses in order to retake control of the raging heat 🙁
Hopefully this one will not last another 24 hrs…
Olly went to school yesterday with a small temperature – a gamble some might say. A gamble that wasn’t well stacked – hence he came home quite poorly – 39 Celsius sadly.
Well, he reached 41 Celsius in the night so we will not be gambling today – he is staying home with Daddy and Mummy is dropping Elliot off at school of the way to work – she is going to work a half day and pick him back up on her way back.
Hopefully, Olly will be bouncing back again soon.
