Better night’s sleep

Having taken himself to bed last night instead of eating his evening meal, Olly proceeded to sleep rather well until about 8:30am (only had 4 times awake) AND requested to drink this morning !!!!

Not going to get too excited but this feels GOOD to mummy and daddy πŸ™‚

Maybe today (day 5) is the day that he begins to turn around (there I said it and maybe blew it ….)

Fingers crossed…

Getting better ?

We are actually not that sure that our little mouse is getting better yet πŸ™

He has not really eaten today or drunk for that matter, and while his tonsil site looks OK, he is drooling a lot and his attitude is actually worsening – the red gene shines rough strong πŸ™‚

He had an argument with mummy at dinner time and ended up selecting to go to bed with his blanket. He had been gone no more than 10 minutes and we found him asleep in his bed….

Hopefully he will get the sleep that he so desperately needs πŸ™‚

My own bed….

Olly decided he did not want to sleep in mummy and daddy’s bed tonight but wanted to sleep in his own bed….

Not sure what drove this decision but we sue hope he manages to stay there all night….

…. We managed to 10:30pm and then he decided that he was not happy and perhaps a night in mummy and daddy’s bed might be needed after all.

Elliot has been introduced to XBOX LIVE….

And sadly he loves it – to the point that he has sat in the conservatory all day waiting for his cousin Tyler to come on line so that he can talk to him and play the Minecraft game nine with him….

It has almost caused tears because Tyler was online for a few minutes and then vanished for a couple of hours.

We were tempted to make him walk down to Tyler’s house to speak with him for real…. πŸ™‚

Damn you XBOX Live…. πŸ™

Groundhog Day

The last two mornings have started in exactly the same way:

6:30am Olly awoke crying in pain having wriggled around in mummy and daddy’s bed for the last 4 or so hours. His throat clearly dry and his drugs clearly out of his system πŸ™

It took us around 10 to 15 minutes to persuade him to take the calpol to help manage the pain and then around 40 minutes to take a drink…. He is still not keen at all on the Fruit Shoot drinks – because it was the first drink we gave him on Friday morning and he has now associated Fruit Shoot with extreme pain in his mouth. Not so great news given that we bought four large trays of them for him a week ago in anticipation of the need for more fluids than usual….

He is certainly eating much better today – although eating has not been the challenge this last couple of days so long as we let it be under Olly’s terms (not a problem at this stage).

He has eaten two pancakes for breakfast this morning so we are VERY pleased so far…
