After MUCH complaining by Oliver, daddy has finally stripped Thomas down and repaired him – only taken 6+ months….

A visit to Smyths Toy Superstore
We finally made the trip to the new toy shop in Leeds, Smyths. We promised Olly could go once he was better and able to venture out following the op, so we made sure that we got there for opening time first thing this morning to reduce the chances of subjecting Olly to lots of other people.
The store is really impressively stocked, well laid out and overall a delight to wander around. They seem to have so much more choice than Toys R Us and some rally good items in their 2 for £15 deals.
The boys really enjoyed their visit and came away very happy with their respective purchases.
Now, sadly we return to the house to put ourselves back under arrest…..
Cheeky XR2 detail
This afternoon daddy has helped Cousin James detail his XR2 prior to it being used in a television programme by the BBC. They have approached him to use his car in the opening sequence :-). Cool.
Anyway, we spent about 6 hours on the car and have stripped the protection is already had right back, removed the swirl marks, protected the paintwork and then layer down three laters of wax.
The car looked great when it arrived just after lunch but loped simply incredible once we had finished. James seemed to really enjoy learning his new skills and daddy clearly enjoyed the work 🙂
No more calpol
We have been 48 hours without any of the pain medication so are hoping that we have finally got to the right side following the operation.
He has been full of it today and is no longer experiencing pains it seems. the operation site loos nice and pretty much all of the angry redness has vanished.
YAY !
Bye bye Wilson Carriage Pram
Today is a sad day – we have just said goodbye to the Wilson Pram – been in the family since new in 1974. Thankfully the couple who purchased are without question going to give it a good new home – back in the North East (would you believe).
