Great day out at Llandegla with the Mountain Bikes

Daddy set off early this morning to meet Uncle Tim, Lee, Ed and Euan for some fun in North Wales on the mountain bikes.

Thankfully the weather stayed good considering the time of year and the boys were all exhausted when they finished. Poor Ed suffered a poor start with a requirement for a 15 minute wait / stop after 20 minutes – in fairness it was the first 3 miles of climb and perhaps we were all eager to get going πŸ™ Once we got over this we cracked on with the fun that is available at the trail centre πŸ™‚

We actually did all of the black runs today so totalled 22km and all had a great time. It is such a shame it takes 2 1/2 hours to get there πŸ™

Great day with a great bunch of guys πŸ™‚

Oh, and to top it all, the cafe had the Yeti burgers back on the menu – apparently by popular demand πŸ™‚ Chicken burger cooked with a nice hot piri piri sauce and server with a nice garlic coleslaw and chips πŸ™‚ awesome

I don’t have five hands you know

Funny little ditty from Olly yesterday.

He had been told by mummy that he had to tidy his bedroom (as it was a bit of a tip) and as he came out quietly to go and play (without having performed said tidy up) mummy caught him and this time demanded that he go back in his room to tidy it BEFORE coming out to play. Β He wandered back in complaining and then when challenged on his complaints utter the (now famous) words “I don’t have five hands you know” as he got on with the task at hand.

Yet more evidence of what we have to look forward to in his future πŸ™‚

There were four in the bed and Mummy said….

“Oh bollocks”

S’right, we were all in bed last night from 9pm – apparently Olly’s bed was “too freezing” and when Elly found out he beep beeped too.

At about 11pm Mummy got up “to go to the toilet” – she didn’t come back…

Found asleep in the spare room this morning…

Daddy has taken a big step in mobile communications – 3

After careful thought, Daddy has taken a pretty big step and bought a 12 month contract with 3. It is a sim only deal and costs just Β£15 a month for unlimited (and tether able) data, 2000 minute of calls and 5000 texts a month. The winning combo was the unlimited data that can be tethered to other devices AND the fact that the phone can be used in many countries (US being the key one) and the fact that the existing allowances are all available to be used while there at no extra cost. Yes, that’s right, daddy can use his phone for unlimited data in the UK AND US as well as for 2000 minutes a month in the UK or US (so long as calling UK numbers of course).

There is clearly some issue over whether the 3 network is suitable for voice calls although is well known as being a very good data network.

Let’s wait to see if he begins to complain about the network in the coming weeks.

Hopefully, it will be fab and in which case we will look to fear Mummy’s over as well. Β£42 to Β£15 a month is a winning price πŸ™‚
