More BT woes !!!
Continued apologies to all ForkHall.com visitors – the internet connection is still unavailable (and hence you are unable to read this text) due to BT leaving us high and dry with no connectivity.
We continue to wait for BT’s advanced specialised broadband team to do ….. erm….er…. something.
Frustration does not even get CLOSE to how we are feeling presently…
We are absolutely sure that the issues are our fault :-)and as a result there will be no apology from BT for the loss of service. As it stands it seemed that in order to progress the issue, Simon was advised (although it was rapidly back-pedalled on) that we would need to take a new 12 month contract in order to obtain a BT HomeHub (since we no longer have one) since they could go no further with the diagnosis given that we did not have a BT device to connect to the internet…….. OUTRAGEOUS
No more ranting tonight as it is just a joke…
BT strike again !! :-(
Apologies to all ForkHall.com visitors – we have been offline for 5 days this week – the internet connection as supplied by our friends at BT vanished at just before 11pm on Tuesday 25th to be restored on Saturday night at about the same time of the day.
As per the previous fights with the ISP, Simon found himself sending 8 emails and making a phone call or two to the support team who seemed more bothered about asking what sort of Router we have rather than fixing the damn problem….
Anyway, Simon seemed to get through to them that they already have the router information (since it is the first two questions they ask EVERY time we call them, and that the fault was that there was no connection for the router to connect to…..
Any way, long story and boring to most folks….
We have been conservatory shopping this weekend and flooring shopping – the flooring for the lounge and the downstairs hallways. The conservatory to put on the back of the house to be a sitting room that’s main purpose is for Eliot to play in. We would very much like to get the lounge back for ourselves and to not have all of the toys etc lying around.
The first company are coming to see us at the end of next week so time will tell…….
Happy Easter
Amazingly it snowed last night – there were a couple of inches (slow down now 🙂 ) on the ground when we got up this morning – gone well before lunchtime 🙁
Question – what is Co-Coa?
Answer – that’s right it is chocolate – something that Elliot has learned to say thus far. So along with the following list of words, we are slowly getting there – he certainly thinks that he is having a conversation with you these days – even if the only words we understand are in the following list – in roughly the order of delivery 🙂
Car – yes that’s right – his favourite word
Dada
Mama
Mummy – yes, subtly different from above – this one means what you think – mama means “I want something”
Du-Du – dummy
Ba – means bath – usually delivered as “um ba”
Co-Coa – already established this is chocolate 🙂
Due – juice
Pu – means what you think – usually delivered as “um pu”
yee yee – yep – a number 1 🙂
qua-qua – this means duck
Choo choo – yep, you got it a train
Wu wu – woof woof – yep – dog
Becca – guess…
Yilly – I’m afraid this is his manhood…
In there – chair is what this means as in “I would like you to put me in my high chair so I can eat my scoobies”
Baa – sheep noise
Moo – Cow noise
Ee-ore – horse / donkey noise
a-stair – we think this means downstairs as he tends to deliver this from the top of the stairs when his intention seems to be to get downstairs to view the televisual device
Nos – you got it – nose
Mou – means mouth
Shoe – shoe
Shi – let’s not talk about that one shall we mummy?
Strange that bol (locks) has not come up yet…
We think that’s about it for now, but as suggested above, the little guy really does think he can talk – he will hold a conversation with almost anyone for a few seconds- particularly if his favourite topic comes up – cars – he is definitely his mothers’ child.
Snow fun
Well, I’ll be a monkeys….. it is snowing – and snowing hard – the wind is whipping it up around so who knows we may get to build a snowman over the Easter weekend.
More as it happens…
