Fun at the Sundown Adventure Park

The three of us had a great day today – we went out early (ish) and visited the Sundown Adventure Park near Retford.ย  We forgot to take a camera but Elliot had a ball – he was not up for sitting in his pushchair one bit.ย  In fact we wasted our time taking it – all it did was serve as an expensive trolley.

The park was really cool – for under 10’s and given we are in mid September, the park was pretty much, well …. empty.

Elliot had a go on a tractor, a train ride, and slides galore.

I suspect that we will be going back there next year (and possibly for some Christmas extravaganza) as he will be a bit older and will definitely want to do more of the stuff they have available.

Strangely enough, with all of the running around that we have done today, Elliot had no worries in getting to sleep tonight – be interesting to see what time he surfaces in the morning ๐Ÿ™‚

Tomorrow, lunch out with Grandad @ Hazlewood Castle….

The cost is spiralling :-(

The cinema system in the conservatory is spiralling somewhat – Vicky decided that the SKY picture is not really good enough – so Simon did a little investigating and found the following HDMI extender via the network – WOW.ย  A very handy way to extend the HDMI signal into the conservatory from the lounge SKY box without losing any signal quality – so in theory, we will be watching SKY HD images in full High Def in a couple of weeks.

The AMP and speakers have now been shipped, as has the HDMI extender ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Just need to get some more Cat5e cable to make it all happen.ย  Think we may also end up with some outdoor speakers in the decking area, given that we will be popping some holes through the conservatory wall for the network cables for HDMI, might as well geet some speaker cables in ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh well, you only live once and Elliot will be catered for financially…..

The seed is sewn

Just where do those two think they are going?ย  They are clearly on a mission – just check out the purpose in their steps….

Elliot was overheard saying “lide” over and over again.ย  Ty was that excited he was simply jumping up and down all the way.

We watched “I am Legend” on Blue-ray last night – take it all back, is a pretty damned good film – shame the ending is crap though..

Home a little early…

We set off early today since it was raining and we have a conservatory to fill with gear ๐Ÿ™‚

Got home at about 7:30pm so unfortunately (although not unexpectedly) it took a little over 3 hours to get from Windermere to home tonight ๐Ÿ™

We now have the two sofas in and the TV on the wall (thanks for the help Greg) and we are now using the new room as intended.ย  Elliot loves it in a big way – especially his new “cool chair” (his own words, honestly) where he reads his books.ย  Will take some photos of it once everything is finished and post them up here.

Now we are onto the kitchen – we have ordered some new flooring so we will begin taking the skirting boards etc off ready for redecorating and then once the flooring down, they will go back down.

We also decided to move Elliot into a new bedroom so that he can have some more space and have some toys etc in there also – there are a LOT of damned toys in this house – we will need to “recycle” some soon – Vicky is going to start to monitor what he uses, then those that he doesn’t will be getting bagged and put in the roof space in the garage ๐Ÿ™‚

Onkyo 706 and Wharfedale Diamond 9.0 (7.1) speakers have now been ordered so will complete the setup in the conservatory in a couple of weeks time – REALLY looking forward to the Transformers movie on Blu-ray disk……. awesome ๐Ÿ™‚
