We almost forgot to get the tax returns done this year. Thankfully not a lot to put in them so only 15 mins each :-).
Pretty much a Next, Next, Next, Finish, Submit kind of affair 🙂
All done now for another year…

The boys have found a need to fight over the Nintendo 3DS XL that Father Christmas brought for Elliot this year, with Mario Kart 7 being the game of choice.
Oliver decided that he wanted a 3DS but was not prepared to wait until his birthday so he has dipped into his Christmas money and some of his bank cash (he didn’t really understand this bit but seemed to not car too much so long as the device was on its way).
eBay to the rescue – a great deal sourced and a Hello Kitty case (what else?) to boot 🙂
We also learned that they can race against each other with Mario Kart and only need ONE copy of the game for this to happen – RESULT.
With mummy at work, it was daddy’s turn to collect Olly from Sunny Hill and take him up to Silcoates to go swimming. This was the first time daddy has had this particular pleasure and suspects it won’t be the last 🙂
We arrived at the boys changing room at around 13:00 for a 13:20 swim to find nobody there and the doors to the pool locked. hmmm…. So we went in search of somebody to see if a) we were in the right place and b) what we actually needed to do. It transpires that we were indeed in the right place and that the door to the pool was intentionally locked until the staff were there – makes a lot of sense with the kids around the place 🙂
Anyway, Olly was in the sharks group and he was good at kicking his legs to cross the pool, although he understood the requirement for breaststroke ‘superman’ (or supercat as they named it for Olly) arms less well 🙁 Perhaps we can go and practise this weekend at Grandma’s pool…
The last thing they all did was jump into the pool to see if they could splash the swimming teacher. Olly was pretty good at the ‘bombing’ exercise and found it all very amusing. There are some great little swimmers in Oll’s class – Olly has some catching up to do…
First day of school in 2013 for the boys today. They were both apprentice about going back after 3 weeks vacation but went in regardless. Poor Elliot was a little emotional when the other children made their way into the classroom, although Mrs Chambers quickly managed him and pushed daddy out to lessen the situation quickly. It obviously worked well as Elliot was full of it when daddy went to collect him from school at 15:20, where Elliot see, imply has had a really good day, having thoroughly enjoyed the things that he was so anxious about earlier in the day.
Olly on the other hand came out of school REALLY tired and as a consequence has been really rather naughty all evening. To the end that once he had a bath, he was not allowed to go back downstairs as he clearly needs the sleep. Hopefully he will get a full nights sleep in tonight – he has not done a full night in his own bed for weeks now. His cough seems to materialise at night time and keeps him awake. In fact he has just started with the coughing now at 22:24, so the countdown appears to have been activated. It was 23:30 last night before he joined us so let’s see how we get on tonight…. 🙁
We hope you have a wonderfilled day.
All our love, Xxx
