Simon tested his new 1800 lumens helmet mounted torch tonight on a 27km ride with Lee.

The sheer darkness puts a whole new view on the fun – it is simply amazing just how much light the little torch can put out. Simon has a bigger lamp on order (shipping from china) to install on the handlebars and then he should be all set.

Overall, it was good to get back out on a long run tonight – sleep should not be difficult to find (assuming Olly is OK that is)

Oh, and the spare room has been painted – just needs the wallpaper hanging and the curtains etc sorting – then just to get the bed in and we will have a spare room ready for guests once again 🙂

He woke up crying at just after 3am this morning – 39+ temperature – oh

Simon called the company up to see how things were progressing – the wheels have been repaired now but not yet lacquered – this takes three days to seal / cure properly so Monday or (more likely) Tuesday next week is the current ETA.

Bummer but then they want to be right so it will be worth the wait…

We nipped to B&Q this morning, bought some supplies for putting up wallpaper (and the wallpaper of course – sparkly of course) and when we got home it was time to crack on…

We finished the glossing work in the spare bedroom, popped a third coat of paint in the WC before beginning the wallpapering in the WC. It took a little longer than we envisaged but the results do look really good
