Car hunting is off (for now)

Car hunting = off – the cost has scared Simon sufficiently 🙂

Find the photograph from last weekend in Windermere in the Apple Pie Shop – apparently Simon’s jokes are not that funny, and when Vicky pointed it out, this happened…

Oh, and then during the walk around Bridlington last weekend we came across this bad boy 🙂 LOL

Nice relaxing weekend THIS weekend as we have pretty much done nothing and therefore taken the opportunity to wind down from a stressful week…

From west to east :-)

The weather was terrible in the Lakes last weekend, so we packed up the car, collected Shane from the airport and drove home.  The sun was shining at home and the temperature almost at 30 degrees 🙂

So we had a BBQ and then on Sunday, headed east to the coast – we had a pretty good day pottering around Bridlington and then Scarborough in the late afternoon.  Fish and Chips in Bridlington were absolutely awesome 🙂

Simon has been out for three days so far this week and will be out again tomorrow night since all of his team are in the UK for the bi-annual technical conference.

The weekend may end up being a little car hunting exercise……. 🙂

Windermere beckons…

We have decided to go to the Lakes this weekend as Simon’s colleague Shane from Melbourne, Australia is coming to visit for the weekend – thought it would make a change for Shane to see some of the touristy kind of places in the Lake District.  The weather forecast looks reasonably promising so we are going to go for it….

The new washing machine was delivered and installed today – shame the installation guy tipped half a bucket of water all over the cupboard next to the washer – foolish thing to do really – then to hop it quick smart after a feeble apology – oh, well what should we expect…..

Still no takers on the photos of Vicky as a reasonable youngster  – any votes for whether we should place online ????

Michael and Angie get married :-)

Wow – a month of rain and then on the wedding day, beautiful sunshine – an incredible result.  We had a great time but had to cut it short at just after 8pm since we needed to get home to take Jenny and Justin home to Halifax before getting back to ensure that Pepsi OK. Fortunately he was fine

Would you believe it – we had great sunshine on Sunday as well – BBQ at Greg and Sues followed by evening meal at the Wheatsheaf – a great end to the weekend.

Perhaps we will get to the lakes next weekend……

Finally, we have located some rather old and rather funny photos of Mrs V Rust – any votes for whether we should place online ????

Happy Birthday Grandma Rust – love and kisses from Elliot Jack

Today is wedding day for Elliot’s great Uncle Michael so he will be getting kitted out in his suit and get ready to go later this morning. Pictures from the event will be available later 🙂

Elliot is still refusing to eat breakfast, so it seems that the breakfast porridge is something that he perhaps does not lie – we’ll try him on a different brand tomorrow 🙂
