Already we are in September, the nights are drawing in and the boys are back to school.

This weekend we enjoyed a relaxing home day on Saturday which while nice, culminated in the boys literally destroying their bedrooms and the toy room AND the conservatory as pieces of LEGO and other toys were spread somewhat evenly around those locations 🙁

On Sunday we got up early for our swimming lesson to find (just after we had arrived at the swimming pool AND got changed) that the lesson today was cancelled 🙁 Oh well, it forced us up and out early on a Sunday morning.  SO, we popped the bikes on the back of the car and head out to do a little shopping – the bikes would get used AFTER as Olly has been hounding us to go out on his bike all week long. We needed to collect a few last items of Elliot for school (gum shield, shin pads and a photograph frame) as well as nip to IKEA (frightening prospect for weekend!) as it is time for both of them to have refreshed bedroom furniture and where better than IKEA for the necessary ideas etc. Hopefully we will look to order something during the week or maybe next weekend and will arrange for the goods to be delivered to home – saves the horrific scenario of collecting etc in store….

Sadly, the bike ride in Newmillerdam did not go as well as we thought it might with lots of mud, water and falls. Guess they need more practice before going somewhere that also has things to look at – i.e. looking in the wrong direction and falling off the bike happened on multiple occasions for the little grenade.

Also, this weekend has demonstrated Olly’s constant need to have the last word and answer back… grrr.. this one needs sorting out – welcome back reward charts….
