Up early and out to Legoland 🙂 Took all of 15 minutes to get there – possibly the shortest journey in the RV.
Oliver lost his temper with us right at the start since he could see “legoland” but we weren’t getting out of the RV to go in. He seemed oblivious to the fact that we actually needed to go and park the RV BEFORE we could go in. It took 10 minutes or so to cool down once we actually got parked. And then we got this picture of the two of them…. you would not believe the kickoff that took place only minutes earlier…
So here we have it, the entrance…
We had breakfast and lunch in the park and the boys actually preferred playing with some large rubber Lego blocks that floated – hence we played with them in a soft play area but also for some time in the water park section to the park. Here is is pic of Elliot breaking out of the tomb that uncle Tim and daddy made around him…
We really need some of those blocks for the garden – they would provide HOURS of fun guaranteed.
The rest of Legoland was filled with all sorts of rides and such, but the best bit for the adults was most likely the area where various scenes from StarWars has been realised with lego blocks and also where monuments and town based scenes from the US have been built. For example there is an area which is a replica of Las Vegas – see below for an example…
That is MGM Grand with Paris, the Venetian and the Stratusphere in the background – I assure you, these are all made from ordinary lego blocks – incredible. There are a ton more images in the RV Day 4 gallery.
Once we finished in legoland, we head to the next RV park – Mission Bay RV Park – in San Diego. We arrived at 5pm and already they had closed so we needed to use the security guy to get in. We have a great place that overlooks Mission Bay.
Tomorrow, we are planning to head out to Sea World so will get plenty of pictures and maybe some video.
We are now totally used to the RV and can set it up in 15 mins and prep it for departure in under 10. If only these bad boys were available in the UK, I think we would seriously consider one for weekends away – it really is a home from home…
